Creating a Digital Experience That Feels Like the Lounge

Mist Lounge needed more than a standard hospitality website. The digital experience had to capture the atmosphere of the venue, communicate its premium positioning and make it easy for customers to discover what Mist Lounge offers.

Hustler Mindset approached the project with one goal: build a website that feels as distinctive online as Mist Lounge does in person.

1

The Challenge

The biggest challenge was creating a booking experience that was simple for customers but capable of handling the different requirements of the venue.

For Shisha, customers needed to be able to choose from multiple flavours, while the flavours themselves could not create separate booking capacities. All flavours needed to work from one shared availability pool.

The booking system also needed to account for a 10-person-per-hour total Shisha capacity, meaning that bookings had to be treated collectively rather than separately for each flavour.

Snooker presented a different challenge, with individual tables needing to be treated as separate resources.

Alongside the booking system, the website also had several UX challenges. The large number of product/experience tabs created problems on smaller screens, where the tabs could become difficult to navigate. The mobile experience needed a cleaner horizontal scrolling solution with accessible left and right navigation.

The website also needed smooth interactions without unnecessary page reloads, particularly around customer actions such as selecting options and adding items to the cart.

What We Did

We designed and developed the Mist Lounge experience around the way customers actually interact with the venue.

The Shisha journey was structured around a single shared capacity rather than creating separate availability for every flavour. Customers can explore the available flavours and select their preferred option while remaining within the overall booking capacity.

We also worked on the booking flow so that selecting a flavour could naturally feed into the booking action, reducing unnecessary steps for the customer.

For Snooker, the booking structure was approached around individual tables and their availability, creating a more appropriate resource-based experience.

On the front end, we focused heavily on responsive UX. The experience and product tabs were reworked to handle larger numbers of options without breaking the layout. Instead of allowing the tabs to wrap awkwardly or push content around, the navigation was designed to work as a horizontal scrolling interface with left and right controls.

We also worked on AJAX-based interactions to make key customer actions feel faster and more seamless, reducing unnecessary page reloads throughout the journey.

The website was then refined across desktop and mobile breakpoints, with particular attention given to spacing, typography, navigation, buttons and the overall booking experience.

The Result

Mist Lounge now has a digital experience that brings together the visual identity of the venue with a much more structured customer journey.

The booking experience is built around the actual requirements of the business rather than forcing the venue into a generic booking structure.

Customers can explore Shisha flavours, make their selection and move through the booking process without treating every flavour as a separate availability pool. The Snooker experience is structured around individual tables, giving the booking system a more logical foundation.

The responsive experience also gives customers a much cleaner way to navigate through multiple tabs and options on mobile, while AJAX interactions help keep the journey smooth.

The result is a website that doesn’t just present Mist Lounge — it gives customers a practical way to discover, choose and book the experience.
